Postgraduate course in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.

Business Address: 197341, 2 Akkuratova str., Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation

Research and Professional Experience:

Highly qualified anesthesiologist with 35 years of experience. Specialist in the field of Neuroanesthesiology and NeuroIntensive Care.
I am also committed to conducting scientific research in this area.

My scientific interest is in the study of septic encephalopathy, molecular genetic aspects of general anesthesia and systemic inflammation response during general anesthesia in neurosurgery including pediatric neurosurgery, personified premedication in neurosurgical patients.

In 1994, I defended my PhD thesis " Opioid anesthesia in pediatric neurosurgery", which describes the peculiarities of opioid anesthesia in pediatric patients with intracranial hypertension, intracranial pressure dynamics during induction of anesthesia in neurosurgical patients with brain tumor, hydrocephalus.

In 2000, I defended my doctoral dissertation on the topic " Anesthesia management system of neurosurgical operations and diagnostic proceeders in pediatric patients", which presents the structure of general anesthesia and choice of anesthetic agents according to the anesthetic influence on the stress-limiting antinociceptive neuroregulatory systems of the brain.
In 2001 I received the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.

Alongside with the research I performed duties of a clinical anesthesiologist.

Professional Appointments:

1987-1988 - postgraduate study at the First Saint Petersburg Pavlov Medical State University, anesthesiologist by profession.

In 1988, after my postgraduate study I got the position of a scientific researcher on a competitive basis of the Russian Polenov Scientific Research Neurosurgical Institute. For 30 years of my professional activity, I have gone from an junior researcher to the Chief Researcher.

2008-2010 - Head of the Research Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the
Research Institute of Children’s Infections, Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation
